Vetreria Re offers to its select international customers insulating double glazing with argon gas, inserted in the chamber between the two panes of glass in place of simple air. The double or triple glazing is also assembled through an aluminium frame inside which dehydrating salts or silica capable of absorbing internal humidity are inserted. Thanks to these characteristics, insulating double glazing allows for excellent levels of soundproofing and thermal insulation to be obtained, enabling annual energy saving in excess of 30%.

By virtue of its low thermal conductivity, argon is able further to reduce heat dispersion through the glass. By replacing the dry air with low thermal conductivity gas like argon, it is therefore possible to improve the overall thermal insulation performance of the double glazing. Even lower values of heat transfer are obtained by increasing the distance between the panes.
